TRUE LOVE 2 [Chapter 5: In The Middle of the Night]

Sometime around 1:30 am, I felt Cameron’s body brushing up against my back. I could feel his erection against my ass, begging to enter. He began kissing my neck and my shoulders. I played it off as if I was trying to sleep. I wasn’t really in the mood especially after the way things ended at dinner. His hands reached around my waist and began stroking my unaroused penis. Eventually I got hard and turned around kissing him. He went under the sheets and wrapped his soft lips around my erection. He was so good at this. There was a sensation of suction going on between where my thighs met my crotch which made me squeal in pleasure. He began sucking on each of my testicles as I pushed him off for fear of being too loud. He came up and kissed my lips, pushing the head of his penis between the cheeks of my ass.

“Turn around.” He said gently

I didn’t respond.

“Babe…” he asked
“Maybe tomorrow. I’m not really in the mood. I kind of just want to sleep.” I confessed
“Are you serious?” he asked in shock

It’s the first time I’ve ever turned down sex from my boyfriend. But, the mood just wasn’t right. I can’t just enjoy sex knowing things aren’t as they should. Sure I was hard and I probably could come, but I don’t think I would fully enjoy it.

“It’s just…tonight really bothered me…and we didn’t really resolve anything.” I admitted
“Oh. Well let’s talk.” He suggested
“Now?”
“Why not…”
“Well, it’s going to be 2am.” I pointed at the clock
“So? Let’s resolve this so we can have enjoyable sex.” Cameron laughed
“Are you kidding me?” I stood up out of bed
“Come on. Don’t be like that. Let’s just talk this out.” He said standing up

We were both still erect as our penises touched as he came towards me.

“I’m going for a walk.” I said putting on some shorts and a t-shirt
“At this time?” Cameron asked concerned
“Yeah. I need to get some air.” I said walking out of the room and downstairs
“Babe, please. Don’t leave.” Cameron said walking after me naked
“I’ll be back later.” I said walking out of the front door

He got me so upset at the fact that he thinks trying to work things out at 2am will get me to reconsider having sex. How selfish could he be? Maybe I was blowing things out of proportion as well, but I just don’t respond to things the way Cameron does. I began jogging north which was the opposite side of the center of town. The route was scenic as there was a viewpoint cliff and a beach called Boiler Bay. After a twenty minute jog, I finally reached the bay and walked down towards the beach. The weather was warm and perfect for a dip. Fortunately the beach was secluded and empty so I took off all of my clothes and dove into the cool water. I swam out about thirty feet under the bright moon. Luckily the waves weren’t as large in this small bay and I was able to bob around. I heard a splash behind me and I turned around fearing it was a large animal or worse…a shark. I wasn’t sure if I should stay still or swim back to shore as fast as possible. I began to slowly swim back, not moving my legs and arms as much. Suddenly a figure emerged from the water in front of me. I screamed.

“Holy shit!” I shouted
“Oh my God!” said the person in front of me

It was Nick.

“Nick! What the fuck! What are…how? Did…what are you doing here?” I tried to find the first question to ask
“Swimming. What the fuck are you doing here?” he asked me
“Um…obviously the same as you.”
“Oh.” He said flatly
“What are you doing back in Depoe Bay?” I asked him as he bobbed a few feet away from me
“Decided to move back with my brother. Just until I find something different to do.” He confessed
“When did you get back?” I asked
“The day after you guys saw me at the club. Which by the way…please don’t tell anyone.” He pleaded
“Oh..um. No, I wouldn’t. That’s none of my business.” I said
“Thanks.” He smiled
“You’re freaking me out.” I laughed
“Why?” he laughed back
“Because…you never smile.” I said
“Well, things have changed. And…I’m sorry about the way I acted. I just didn’t know how to deal with that situation in Seattle.”
“Oh…well. It’s okay. All forgotten.” I said
“Want to swim back to the beach and talk?” he offered
“Oh…I…” I stumbled
“Naked?” he asked laughing
“Kind of. Didn’t realize I would run into anyone here.” I admitted
“No worries…I usually come out here to swim naked too. It’s a nice time for a swim.” He said turning around and swimming back to shore

I followed him as we got to the shallow part of the beach. As he stood up out of the water, I could see that he was definitely naked. The smooth clear water dripped off his shaven six foot body. Wow. He really did work out and had one hell of an ass on him. I stood up out of the ocean not too far behind him and quickly realized I had an erection. Holy shit. I covered it with both hands. Nick had reached his pile of clothes. He kneeled down with his back still towards me and began slipping on his clothes. I quickly ran to my pile of clothes and stumbled to get my shorts on. After we got dressed we walked up to each other and sat down on the sand next to one another.

“So. How have you been?” he asked
“Good.” I lied
“You and Cameron seem happy.” He said keeping his eyes on me
“We are.” I lied again
“That’s good.” He smiled
“What about you? Any new girls in your life?” I asked
“No…no new girls.” He laughed
“Why not?”
“Well…I have to confess something.” He dropped his smile looking at me
“What is it?” I asked

He then without hesitation leaned in and kissed me. I quickly pulled back surprised.

“What are you doing?” I asked in shock
“I’m sorry.” He said looking down
“Nick...you’re gay?” I asked
He nodded his head in silence.
“You could have just told me.” I chuckled nervously
“Well…the reason I did that was because I wanted to.” He looked back up at me
“Huh?”
“I hated you in high school, but not because you were gay. Because…” he hesitated
“Just tell me.” I pushed for more information
“Because you weren’t with me.” He said standing up and walking closer to the shoreline

I was totally flabbergasted. I stood up brushing the sand off my ass. I walked towards him.

“Nick. That doesn’t make sense.” I said
“I protected Cameron because he was like my brother. But when you guys got together, it broke me. That’s why I fought him and not you. I felt like…he took the happiness that I would have liked to have with you. I was just afraid. Afraid to be like him; brave, honest and free.”

My God. He truly was gay. I placed my hand on his back comforting him as he seemed emotional.

“I’m fine.” He said as if reading my mind
“You can cry if you need to.” I said
“No. You can’t see me like this.” He said turning his head away from me
“Nick…be yourself. Seeing this side of you shows me you can be a good person. That whole macho, asshole persona is not you. It isn’t you.” I smiled
“Yeah, but it’s too late. You have your happily ever after. I have no one.” He said as a tear rolled down his face
“Nick. Does anyone else know?” I asked
“Just my brother and now you. And I guess Natalie, Phillip, Larissa and Cameron.”
“Well, I can keep your secret if you aren’t ready to share it. But believe me. If you carry yourself with self-respect and an open heart. I can promise you that you will be much happier.” I said wiping the tear from his face
“You think so?” he asked
“Yeah. I really do.” I said

We hugged each other. His embrace was tight. His muscles were firm and his facial hair tickled my forehead since I was a couple inches shorter than him.

“Thank you. I promise I’ll be nicer. And I’m sorry for crossing the line.” He said
“Don’t worry about it. I’m glad you were honest with me. I appreciate that.” I said

However my appreciation turned into guilt because I had lied to him about Cameron and me. But I wasn’t sure if telling him was the right thing to do. I mean, it was Nick after all. Nick gave me his cell phone number and suggested we get together and hang out some time or go for jogs together. I agreed as we headed back in our direction of home. He lived in Lincoln City which was just north of the beach we were at. I began my jog back down south towards town. I finally got home and walked in to find Cameron asleep on the couch. Cloud was curled up sleeping next to chest. I kissed them both and headed upstairs to shower and get back in bed.

TRUE LOVE 2 [Chapter 4: The Woes of Love]

A few weeks had gone by and Cloud was full of energy and had explored every nook and cranny of our apartment. There were moments where I feared he ran out because I couldn’t find him, but he would be hiding in a tight space or simply just sleeping under our bed. Natalie loved Cloud. She even bought him a comfy little pet bed for our room along with a small bundle of cat toys. Unfortunately Larissa was allergic to cats so we would have to lock him up in our bedroom whenever she came over. It broke my heart when I would hear his tiny cry under our door. One evening, as the sun was beginning to set and Cameron and I were waiting for his sister and Phillip to arrive so we could go to dinner. We were heading to an Italian restaurant, actually it was the one where we were verbally assaulted the day of our graduation; however the manager had since retired and many of the residents were much more open minded now. Cameron and I had been back before tonight and our last visit was much more pleasant. I suggested a different place since we were trying to be careful with our spending, but Cameron didn’t want to give a reason to our friends why a different place would be better. It was our private struggle anyways, we didn’t want to burden them with our problems as I’m sure they had their own. Larissa’s phone went off while she sat on our couch sipping wine. Fortunately Phillip’s older brother was kind enough to buy us wine from time to time since we were only twenty. It’s not like we were alcoholics, we just liked the occasional glass with our dinner or for socializing. I enjoyed the taste of wine, while Cameron preferred champagne.

“That was Natalie. She’s around the corner, she said to meet her outside.” Larissa said standing up and tossing the rest of her wine down her gullet
“Okay. Babe did you feed Cloud?” Cameron asked
“Yes. He has a full bowl of food that should last him all night.” I replied

We walked out of our apartment and towards the curb as Natalie and Phillip came around the corner in Phillip’s Ford Explorer.

“What time was our reservation?” Phillip asked Cameron
“It was at 7:30.” He responded
“Shit, we got 10 minutes. Hang on.” He said speeding off
“Phillip!” Larissa snapped
“Well, if we don’t make it, we’ll lose our reservation.”
“Too bad Jasmine didn’t work there still.” Natalie said
“Have you talked to her?” I asked
“Not in a while. Last time I called her, she was still working at that record company.”
“Who is Jasmine again?” Larissa cut in
“She’s our friend from high school. You didn’t know her?” I asked
“Was she a senior?” she asked
“A junior.” Natalie said
“Then no.”

I kind of laughed at the stuck up personality that was Larissa. It’s what I loved about her. She was just blunt and wasn’t afraid to tell it like it is.

“She still hasn’t found a modeling agency that would hire her?” Cameron asked Natalie
“No. She’s trying so hard. I know it’s her goal. I’m just glad she is aiming for her dream. She wasn’t going to find that here in Depoe Bay.”
“Well, I hope she comes and visits soon.” I said

By the time I knew it, we had pulled up to the restaurant. It looked the same. Grapevines around the building, hanging lights near the side patio. Across the street was the beach that over looked the bay and under the moonlight I could see the faint pink blossoms of the cherry tree that stood at the top of the cliff.

“Hurry.” Larissa said pushing me through the door interrupting my special moment of fondness

The hostess looked bland and unhappy to be working.

“Name.” she said flatly
“Harris.” Cameron said
“Right this way.” She said picking up five menus and walking us to the patio area.
“Oh. I haven’t eaten out here before. It’s beautiful.” I said
“Enjoy.” Said the hostess dropping our menus on the corner of the table
“She was pleasant.” Natalie said under her breath
“She was a bitch.” Larissa clarified
“That too.” Natalie laughed
“I think I ate her pussy once.” Larissa said crudely
“Larissa!” I said with a smile
“What?” she laughed
“Come on…table of gay guys and a straight girl!” I said
“Um, hello!” Phillip said holding his hand up next to his head
“Um, you had me hold your hand to the bathroom in Seattle. Don’t start.” I said with a smile

Natalie and Larissa laughed. Cameron was too busy looking at the menu.
“Babe, you okay?” I asked
“Yeah, just looking for a salad.”
“A salad? My hungry baby is going to eat a salad?” I said in a low voice
“Just kind of pricey.” He said flustered
“We can share a plate.” I offered
“No its fine.” He said in a cold tone

I focused my attention back on the others in order to prevent a public argument about money. I joined the laughter between Larissa, Natalie and Phillip, although I didn’t catch what they said. My mind was still on Cameron, wishing he didn’t stress so much. The waiter came and finally took our order. I ordered a half plate of sausage stuffed ravioli with a side salad. Cameron ordered the spaghetti with soup. Cameron drank water, while I ordered a tea. Damn it. I should have gotten water as well.

“This is so delicious.” Natalie said stuffing her face with her angel hair pasta
“We have got to come here more often.” Larissa suggested

Cameron almost choked at the sound of those words. I gently patted his back.

“Are you okay?” I asked
“Yeah.” He said through a gurgle

“How is your food, Joey?” Natalie asked me
“It’s really good. Want to try?” I offered
“Yeah.” Natalie said stabbing her fork into one of the raviolis
“Babe, you want some of my tea?” I offered Cameron
“No, I’ll stick with my water.” He said taking a gulp
“Wow. That’s really good. I’m going to have to order that next time. We should come next weekend.” Natalie said
“Why don’t we try some other places? There’s a burger joint off the pier.” Cameron said
“Yeah, but we always ate there when we were kids. Aren’t you sick of it?” Natalie scrunched her face
“No. I love it.” Cameron said smiling

After a while the waiter came back and took away our empty plates. He offered us dessert.

“I’m in for some sweets.” Natalie said
“Me too.” Said Phillip
“Gelato sounds good.” Larissa said
“I’ll take the chocolate soufflé” Phillip said
“Oh, I’ll take one of those too.” Natalie smiled

“And for you gentlemen?” He asked Cameron and I
“Oh uh…” I began as I looked at Cameron, but his eyes were bulging out at me
“We’re good.” Cameron said dismissing the waiter
“You guys should have gotten something.” Larissa said
“We’re full.” Cameron lied
“Joey looked like he wanted something.” Natalie chuckled

Cameron looked at me. I shook my head.
“Don’t be shy. I’ll order it for you.” Larissa said
“No. Really, I’m okay.” I pleaded
“Okay.” Larissa said holding her hands up in surrender

The waiter came back with the desserts and Larissa whispered something into his ear. After another few minutes, the waiter came back with two gelatos and placed one each in front of Cameron and myself.

“Oh, we didn’t order these.” Cameron said in a high pitched voice
“That was me.” Larissa laughed, “I know you guys wanted dessert, I could see it in your eyes.” She said spooning gelato into her mouth
“Please take mine back.” Cameron said to the waiter
“As you wish. And you sir?” he asked me
“Oh uh…I’ll keep mine.” I said
Cameron turned and looked at me. He looked bewildered. As if I had stolen something from him. I smiled and took a small bite of my gelato.

“Mmm…it’s delicious.” I said staring into his eyes

Maybe that was wrong of me. Egging him on like that. But it just pissed me off how he would limit me just because he was stressed. If he was that stressed out then I would pay for my own dinner.

“What’s wrong Cameron?” Natalie chuckled
“Nothing.” He said flatly taking out his cell phone and rummaging through it

I looked over and saw him begin using his calculator. Uh oh.

The waiter returned and handed each of us our bill. Larissa had her own, Phillip and Natalie shared one, while Cameron was handed ours.

“Fuck.” He said in a low growl
“What?” Natalie asked, “Did they mess up on your bill?”
“No. I just didn’t realize it would come out to this much.” He admitted
“Let me see?” Larissa leaned in
“Eighty seven bucks. That’s hefty.” She snickered
“Well, Cam, we can help pay your bill if you like?” Phillip offered
“No, I got it.” He said with a slight tone of embarrassment
“Give it to me, I’ll pay for…” Natalie began stretching her hand out for the bill
“Goddamn it, Natalie, I said I got it!” he snapped

Natalie retracted her hand, looking down at her plate. She was in shock by her brother’s anger. I was completely embarrassed.

“Thank you Natalie for your offer. But we can handle it. We appreciate it.” I smiled at Natalie

Cameron slipped the money into the booklet standing up and walking into the restaurant. He was leaving. I stood in my place. I didn’t chase him. Maybe he needed to blow off this steam. Larissa was sipping her wine, unsure of how to react. Phillip place his arm around Natalie to comfort her as she hadn’t taken her eyes off of her now melted half eaten gelato. We all stood up and silently walked out of the restaurant. Cameron was nowhere to be seen.

“Guys. You can go ahead without us. I have to go find Cameron.” I told Phillip and Natalie
“Are you sure? We can wait.” Phillip said
“No, we’ll get a cab.” Natalie got into the passenger seat

I walked up to her hugging her gently and kissing her on her forehead.
“He didn’t mean it.” I whispered to her
A tear rolled down her cheek, which broke me to pieces. I wiped the tear away with my finger.

“I’ll call you when we get home.” I said with a smile
She nodded her head in response. The three of them drove off into the night. I knew exactly where Cameron was. I began to walk across the street towards the beach. The parking lot used for beach access was empty and the strong sound of wind rang against my ears along with the thundering waves crashing against the cliff. I walked in the direction of the hillside of Cherry Blossom Cliff as I looked up and under the moonlight I could see the shape of a figure standing next to the tree at the top of the cliff. As I reached the top I could make out Cameron with his hands in each of his pant pockets staring out into the ocean.

“Cameron.” I waited for a response

He stood absolutely still. He was ashamed of how he acted.

“Cameron. Come on, let’s go home.” I said putting my hand on his shoulder
“I shouldn’t have yelled at Natalie like that.” He said
“No you shouldn’t have. She was just trying to help.” I said
“I know. I’m sorry for embarrassing you.” He said
“It’s okay. Come on.” I said grabbing his arm

We walked back down the hillside and reached the parking lot. I called a cab which picked us up about five minutes later. He drove us to our apartment a couple miles away to Pirate Cove. We were silent the entire way home. I paid the driver as we exited the cab and entered our apartment. Cloud welcomed us home with his soft squeaky cries. I picked up and kissed his precious face. I gave him to Cameron as he kissed him and placed him on the floor. As promised, I called Natalie and told her we were home safe. Cameron apologized to Natalie and told her goodnight. We then headed upstairs to our bedroom. I took off my clothes while I read in bed and Cameron sat on the balcony staring out into the ocean. After about an hour, he came inside and we went to sleep.

TRUE LOVE 2 [Chapter 3: Life Isnt Perfect]

After a five hour drive we finally arrived home. Our first stop, Larissa’s apartment, which she shared with another friend of hers. Then we headed to Phillip’s house; actually it’s his older brother’s house to which he rented a room from. Finally he dropped off Natalie at her mother’s house. She kissed me on the cheek and waved goodnight to us. The on and off conversation from Seattle was the surprise run in of seeing Nick dancing at a gay club. We each had a negative history with Nick and we were glad to leave him behind as a distant memory in Seattle. Cameron pulled up to our apartment that over looked the cove. We lived on the third level which had a two story space with a loft. The ocean side of the building was glass which offered an amazing view and tons of natural light. The first floor contained a living area with a kitchen/dining area. The floor plan was completely open. Near the front door was a small powder room. The second floor consisted of a guest bedroom, a laundry room, guest bathroom and master suite with a walk in closet. We had been living there for a little over a year now. I dragged the luggage upstairs to our bedroom while Cameron stayed downstairs to go over the monthly bills. I let him handle all of the account managing, he seemed to enjoy organizing all of that stuff anyways, he would just tell me what the amount owed is and we would split it 50/50. Cameron wanted to open a joint bank account and I wasn’t really ready for that. I began unpacking our things when I noticed something fall out of Cameron’s pocket. I looked down to find a business card for an all-male call service. I starred hard at the card which pictured a nude guy with a phone number. It read, Phone Sex, Companions and One Night-ers. My heart began to pound. Blood rushed to my face, causing it to feel hot. I dropped Cameron’s pants and began to walk out of the room, my eyes still on the card. I walked to the landing of the stairs and looked down to where Cameron was sitting on the couch with his laptop. He looked up at me.

“What is it babe?” he asked

I didn’t answer, for fear of losing it, crying, yelling. I just stared blankly at him.

“Joey?” he asked
“What is this?” I asked facing the card towards him

He squinted his eyes trying to see what I was holding. He finally caught focus and his eyes widened. He put the laptop on the coffee table and stood up quickly walking towards the stairs.

“DON’T!” I shouted with ferocity
“Baby, it’s not what you think…” he pleaded
“You disgust me.” I said beginning to walk backwards towards the room

He followed me finally reaching the top of the stairs.

“Joey…do you really think I would be that stupid to do this to you? You know how crazy I am about you.”
“Then why the fuck was this in your pocket?” I asked stopping in the middle of the hall
“Do you remember what Nick said while we were talking to him outside? Why he was doing what he was doing?”

I didn’t respond or move.

“Well, he was dancing because it was bringing in money. It got me thinking…” be continued
“To hire a prostitute?” I snapped
“No! To possibly try being a dancer or maybe even do phone sex for extra cash.”

My heart fell. Phone sex? He was actually willing to do phone sex for money?

“I don’t believe you.” I said
“I’m being completely honest. I saw these cards at the club and I picked one up. I was going to talk to you about it tomorrow, I swear. It’s not like I would be cheating because I would be faking it, nobody would know it’s me and I would probably be watching TV or doing laundry while pretending to get off. Its easy money!” he tried to justify
“Let me ask you then…would you be okay if I were doing this?” I said throwing the card at him

He looked down at the card as it landed by his foot. He looked up at me.

“No.” he shook his head
“Exactly.” I said walking into the room and slamming the door

I was furious. I sat on the bed contemplating leaving for the night. Cameron walked in silently. He sat on the end of the bed, his face full of fear.

“Please. Don’t be angry. It was a stupid idea. I don’t know what I was thinking.” He said
“If I ever catch you doing anything remotely close to that, I will leave you.” I said in a stern voice
“I know you will. You don’t deserve that.”
“I love you.” I said in a low voice, trying to make him understand how it made me feel, “I don’t want anyone to experience what I do with you in private, whether it’s real or not.” I said
“You’re right. It’s special and should be kept sacred.” He agreed

Cameron stood up and walked towards me. He reached out waiting for my hand. I lifted my right hand and placed it in his as he pulled me up and wrapped my arms around him. He latched tightly onto me and kissed me.

“I’m sorry.” He said looking at me into my eyes
“I know you are.” I said combing my fingers through his hair
“I’m just so stressed out. We’re barely making it. I mean this is probably the last trip we’ll have in a long time.” Cameron confessed
“Don’t worry about it. I’ll see if I can pick up extra shifts at work.” I told him
“I don’t want you to bare all the responsibility, I’ll try to find something here in town. Maybe I can work at the grocery store again.” He said with a face of distaste
“Maybe we can cut back on some unnecessary spending.” I suggested
“We can try.”
“If that doesn’t work, we can always move into a smaller apartment further in the center of town.” I mentioned
“No…I don’t want to lose this place. It’s perfect for us.” He said looking out of the window into the darkness. The moonlight was shining down on the ocean surface causing a reflective light show on our bedroom walls.

“Let’s not stress about that right now. Let’s just get some rest.” I suggested as we moved the half empty luggage onto the ground. We took off our clothes, turned off the lights and fell asleep in each other’s arms.

The sound of the ocean waves crashing at the shore woke me up. I moved my feet around under the sheets, feeling for Cameron. He wasn’t there. I sat up rubbing my eyes and looked around the room. He had finished unpacking the luggage, which means he must have gotten up extra early. The clock beeped as it reached 10:00am. I stepped out of bed as the white sheet slipped off my naked body. I stretched in front of the floor to ceiling window overlooking the cove. I walked to the dresser to pull out a pair of trunks. The first thing I saw was a small note. The note read, Good morning baby. Come downstairs for a surprise. – Your boyfriend. A smile overtook my face as I slipped on the trunks and a white tank top. I walked down the hall to the stairs. I looked over and noticed Cameron standing by the balcony door holding his hands behind his back.

“Good morning my baby.” He said with a cheesy grin
“Good morning.” I smiled, “Are you the surprise?”
“Just come down.” He said

I followed his orders and finally came face to face with him.

“You and I have such an amazing relationship and I’ve always felt that we have so much love between us.” Cameron said
“I agree.”
“Shouldn’t we share our love?” he suggested
“What do you mean?”

At that moment he brought his hands around in front of him. In his left hand was a small white kitten. It meowed as it looked at me with its blue eyes.

“Oh my goodness.” I said in a loud whisper sticking out my bottom lip
“Meet our new baby.” Cameron said
“He is so cute. Or she?” I asked
“It’s a boy. What do you think?”
“He’s so precious. I would be so excited if I wasn’t allergic.” I looked at Cameron
“What?!” Cameron jumped back
“I’m kidding.” I laughed
“Oh.” He chuckled mixed with a sigh of relief

I grabbed the white bundle from his hands and held him to my face. He squeaked a tiny meow and my heart melted.
“He is so cute. What’s his name?” I asked
“That’s up to you.” Cameron said standing next to me looking into the kitten’s eyes
“What does he look like to you?”
“I’m not sure. Sugar? Snowball? Mr. Whiskers?” Cameron laughed
“No.” I grunted, “How about…Peanut?” I suggested
“Peanut?” Cameron chuckled, “Maybe we should think a little harder.”
“I got it. Cloud.” I laughed

Cameron didn’t respond.

“What?” I asked
“That’s actually not bad.”
“I was kidding.”
“No, that’s pretty unique. He does look like a little cloud.” He said petting the now purring kitten
“Cloud it is.” I said kissing his tiny head, “Thank you. I love him.” I said carrying him in my arms
“I’m glad. He seems to really like you.” Cameron said kissing me on my cheek
“Isn’t this kind of another added expense though?” I asked
“Not too much. Besides, you can’t put a price on family.” He said

“Go explore your new home Cloud.” I said putting the tiny kitten on the ground

TRUE LOVE 2 [Chapter 2: Secret Life]

It was 11:30pm by the time we reached, “Banana’s”. After waiting for twenty minutes in a line, we were scanned for any weapons, paid our way in and entered a dark loud warehouse like club. Lights were flashing and drinks were spilling. Cameron grabbed my hand in order to prevent from losing me in the tight crowd. I grabbed Larissa’s hand, who grabbed Natalie’s who grabbed Phillips as we chained our way through to the bar. Unfortunately since we were underage, we couldn’t order alcohol. Our bright yellow wristbands gave it away in the darkness and under the black lights. Cameron ordered us virgin daiquiris. Just because we couldn’t order real drinks, didn’t mean people had to know they weren’t real. We then walked towards a corner of the club as we drank our beverages. We got a few sexual looks to which Cameron and I ignored. However Larissa was quick to catch the eye of a sexy Asian girl who gestured her to come dance with her. Natalie was standing next to Cameron, and Phillip was standing next to me as we watched the filled dance floor waiting for a good song to come on. A shirtless guy came up to me and Phillip and smiled.

“Hey gorgeous.” He said smiling at Phillip
Phillip gulped his drink down in shock. I looked at Natalie who simply smiled. Cameron chuckled waiting for a reaction from Phillip.

“Uh, me?” he asked
“Yeah. Want to come dance? I promise I’ll be gentle.” The hunky guy said tugging on Phillips belt around his waist
Phillip flinched and stood up straight.

“I can’t sorry. I’m here with my boyfriend.” He said wrapping his arm around me
“Too bad.” He said with no shame walking back into the crowd

Natalie, Cameron and I laughed. Phillip still with his arm around me frowned.

“Why did you tell him I was your boyfriend?” I asked, “You should have just told him Natalie was your girlfriend.”
“I couldn’t do that.” He explained
“Why not?” Cameron asked
“Dude…come on…this is a gay club…they wouldn’t believe that.” He said

We just laughed at his answer which was priceless. A good song came on as we all headed towards the dance floor. We joined Larissa and her new friend enjoying the music. Surrounding the dancefloor were four go-go dancers. Three were male and the fourth was a female, or to which we think was a female, either way she was sexy. The dancers were all very erotic and suggestive in their movements. During a song Cameron and I were dancing to, Larissa leaned in.
“Hey…he looks familiar.” She said looking at one of the dancers furthest from us
Cameron and I looked and he did have a look that I wasn’t sure where I had seen him from. But I was sure I didn’t know him.
“Maybe on T.V.?” Cameron suggested
“Hm…I don’t know. Maybe.” Larissa said leaving the subject alone

We continued to dance for another twenty minutes before Phillip leaned in towards me.

“Can you come with me?” he asked
“Where to?” I asked
“The bathroom.” He said
“Phillip.” I chuckled
“Come on please…I’m scared.” He said with sincerity
I looked at Cameron who smiled. I kissed him and left him to dance with his sister and Larissa.

“Hold my hand.” Phillip said into my ear
“What? Why?” I asked confused
“Because, so guys will think we’re together.” He said sternly
“Oh jeez.” I said grabbing his hand

We walked towards the back of the club and to the bathrooms. All of the urinals were occupied and one of the stalls was locked. There was a larger stall that was available.

“Come in with me.” Phillip whispered
“No…you can go by yourself.” I said nudging him
“What if…”
“Don’t worry; gay guys don’t just appear out of thin air…” I chuckled

He entered the stall and locked it, jiggling the door to make sure it didn’t open. I laughed at his nervousness. One of the go-go dancers entered the bathroom and stood behind a guy who was finishing up at the urinal. It was the guy that Larissa thought looked familiar. He didn’t notice me, probably because it was somewhat dark in the bathroom. From the side, I began to second guess my answer to Larissa. He kind of does look familiar. I think it was on television that I had seen him, or maybe an ad? The dancer finished and washed his hands, leaving the bathroom. Phillip finally exited the stall and tried reaching for my hand.

“Wash your hands first, you nasty.” I snapped at him

We walked out of the bathroom hand in hand as I led him back to Natalie. They laughed at us as we returned.

“Did you get man handled?” Natalie chuckled
“Shut up.” He said kissing her

“You guys make a cute couple.” Cameron laughed
I pinched his side.
“Hey…you and I are even cuter together though right?” I said
“Of course.” He said leaning in to kiss me, slipping his tongue inside my mouth a couple times
“Gross guys. Go get a stall.” Larissa pleaded

“That dancer looks so familiar.” Natalie said
“I said the same thing!” Larissa jumped in
“Now that I look at him again, he does.” I said
“Come on, I want to get a closer look.” Natalie said beginning to walk over
“Nat. We can’t just go up and stare at him like a bunch of freaks.” Phillip said
“We won’t, we’ll dance next to him so we can look at him up close. Maybe he’ll let you get really close Phillip if you put a five in his underwear.” Larissa laughed
“Funny.” Phillip said flatly

We walked towards his go-go box and danced a few feet away from him. He was muscular, trimmed body hair, shaved chest. He was toned and definitely worked out a lot. He actually had a nice ass, but not as nice as Cameron’s of course. His underwear seemed to fill up pretty nicely as well. On his feet were black tennis shoes, white tube socks with red stripes and red and white tight underwear. His dark hair was short and spiked up. We were all gazing up at him trying to figure it out. He finally noticed us and his face froze. At that moment…we all realized who he was.

“Nick!” Natalie said loudly

His face was filled with horror. He jumped off the box and took off into the crowd.

“What the fuck!?” Phillip said in shock
“I can’t believe what I just seen!” Larissa said, who had also known Nick from high school.
“I need a drink.” Natalie said
“But we can’t drink.” I responded
“I just need some water on the rocks please.” Natalie said which made me laugh

We headed back to the bar and refilled our drinks. We noticed that Nick hadn’t returned to his box. A part of me wanted to figure out what he was doing here. Cameron could care less. The last time we had seen Nick was at high school as he was trying to bash our faces in during lunch in the cafeteria. He had since been expelled from the school.

“Look there he is.” Larissa pointed as if she were scoping him out
“Wait guys. We don’t want to bombard him. Maybe Joey and I should go and talk to him first.” Cameron suggested

We left them at the bar as we headed in the direction we saw Nick. We walked outside to the outdoor patio where we found Nick smoking a cigarette against the wall. He was in his go-go outfit still, wearing a leather jacket since it was a little chilly out tonight. He looked at us and blew smoke in our direction.

“What?” he said
“Nick?” I asked
“Yeah it’s me obviously. What do you want?” he asked frustrated
“Jeez. How have you been?” I asked stupidly
“What the fuck do you care?”
“Hey man, chill. We just haven’t heard from you in two years…” Cameron said
“Thanks to you two.” He said
“Let’s not go down that road.” Cameron said
“What are you guys doing here?” he asked with irritation
“We’re just vacationing.” I said
“Oh and you decided to bring the rest of the senior class with you.” He said in anger
“Nick. We don’t want to argue. We just wanted to see how things were. And…why you were here in Seattle…at…this club?” I asked stumbling over my words
“None of your Goddamn business.” He said flicking his cigarette on the ground
“But why a gay club?” Cameron pushed
“I need fucking money, alright! And with my body and face, I make a lot of it. Satisfied? Are we done Diane Sawyer?!” he said shoving past us and into the club

“Diane Sawyer?” I said under my breath
“Come on.” Cameron said as he led me back into the crowded club

We walked back towards our friends. Natalie immediately wanted to know what happened. We filled them in and weren’t surprised by Nick’s asshole responses.

“I don’t buy it.” Larissa said
“What do you mean?” Phillip asked
“He’s a flamer.” She said plainly
“What?! No…Nick isn’t gay. He hit on me every chance he got.” Natalie explained
“And he banged a ton of girls…or at least he bragged about it.” Phillip said

We all drank our beverages, perplexed at our discovery.
